Your Perfect Bronze Starts Here!

Bronzed 19 Glow Guide

PRE-TAN PREP (Before Your Appointment)

1. Exfoliate 24 hours before
Use a gentle scrub or exfoliating mitt to remove dead skin for an even base.

2. Avoid oil-based products
Skip oily scrubs, lotions, and body washes—they create a barrier on the skin.

3. Shave or wax in advance
Do this at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid irritation and uneven absorption.

4. Skip lotions, perfumes, deodorant & makeup
Arrive with completely clean, product-free skin.

5. Shower at least 4 hours before
This allows your pores to fully close before your tan. If you have to shower before your appointment, rinse off in ice cold water so it will help close your pores.

6. Wear loose, dark clothing
Tight clothes can rub or smudge your fresh tan.

7. Remove makeup & jewelry
These can interfere with the solution and cause uneven results.

8. Plan your timing wisely
Avoid scheduling workouts, swimming, or events that may cause sweating right after your tan.

9. Bring flip flops or slides
Closed shoes can rub against developing tan lines. Please bring rain boots if weather requires. Absolutely no socks!

POST-TAN CARE (After Your Appointment)

10. Avoid water & sweat while developing
Stay completely dry for the recommended development time (8-12 hours)

11. Your first rinse is just a rinse
No soap, shampoo, or shaving—just lukewarm water.

12. Expect some bronzer to rinse off
This is normal! Your actual tan will continue developing underneath.

13. Use hands to wash- No washcloths or loofahs. Pat or air dry- don’t rub
Be gentle with your skin to preserve your tan.

14. Moisturize daily
Hydrated skin = longer-lasting tan. Use an oil free, unscented lotion.

15. Avoid long hot baths & saunas
These will fade your tan faster.

16. Skip exfoliating until you're ready to remove your tan
Exfoliation will shorten the life of your glow.

17. Be mindful of chlorine & salt water
These can cause your tan to fade unevenly.

18. Use a gentle body wash
No bar soap, no Dove soap, no Bath and Body soap, no exfoliators, no sulfates.

19. Book your next glow
Maintain your color by scheduling your next appointment every 7–12 days 💋

Experience

the Glow

Glow confidently with a custom spray tan tailored just for you. Are you still not sure here are 19 frequently asked questions to help you better prepare for your bronzed experience.

Your glow is our priority. Each tan is customized to enhance your natural beauty and leave you feeling confident for any occasion.

1. What is a spray tan?

A spray tan is a sunless tanning treatment where a fine mist is applied to your skin, giving you a natural-looking tan without harmful UV exposure.

2. How long will my spray tan last?

A spray tan can last up to 12 days with an average of 5-10 days. The longevity will depend on your pre tan and post tan care as well as your daily habits.

3. How should I prepare for my appointment?

Exfoliate your skin 24 hours before your appointment, avoid lotions, oils, perfumes, makeup and deodorant the day of your tan, and wear loose, dark clothing.

4. Can I shave or wax before my spray tan?

Yes—shave or wax at least 24 hours before your appointment to allow your pores to close and avoid irritation.

5. What should I wear during my spray tan?

You can wear as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. Most clients wear disposable undergarments or a swimsuit. Several prefer to go completely nude.

6. How long does a spray tan appointment take?

The actual spray tan takes about 10–15 minutes, but plan for around 20–30 minutes total.

7. When can I shower after my spray tan?

In between 8-12 hours.

8. Will I look orange?

No! Sarah’s unique formulations are customized to match your specific skin tone and desired look.

9. Does a spray tan protect me from the sun?

No. Spray tans do not provide UV protection. Always wear a good SPF. Sarah recommends using a lotion sunscreen rather than a spray sunscreen with your airbrush tan.

10. Can I exercise after my spray tan?

Avoid excessive sweating for two days afterward as it can cause streaking or uneven development.  Avoid any hot exercises (hot yoga, hot Pilates) for the full duration of your tan.

11. Will the spray tan stain my clothes or sheets?

The cosmetic bronzer may transfer slightly before your first shower but typically washes out easily.

12. Can I get a spray tan if I have sensitive skin?

Yes! Sarah uses tanning solutions from a company who chooses to source the world’s finest naturally derived ingredients. Enriched with Aloe Vera and Vitamins A, C, and E. Free of parabens, erythrulose, gluten, urea, and fragrance. Which can be found in other spray tan products. CBD is also a fantastic additive for all sensitive skin issues!

13. Can I get a spray tan while pregnant?

Many clients do, but it’s always best to consult your doctor beforehand.

14. How do I maintain my spray tan?

Moisturize with an unscented, oil free lotion after every shower and once or twice a day on top of that, avoid long hot showers, chlorinated water, pat dry after bathing, and avoid exfoliating products, stay hydrated- drink plenty of water!

15. Will my spray tan fade evenly?

Yes—with proper care, your tan should fade gradually and evenly like a natural tan.

16. Can I swim with a spray tan?

Yes, but chlorine and salt water can shorten the lifespan of your tan.

17. Can I get a spray tan for a special event?

Yes! Schedule your appointment 2 days before your event for the best results.

18. What areas do you spray?

Your entire body can be sprayed, including face, hands, and feet, with careful blending for a natural look.

19. How often can I get a spray tan?

You can schedule as often as you would like. Sarah recommends that your previous tan be completely gone before getting another for the most flawless results!
